Executive Director

As Executive Director for Life Skills Oasis Community Based Organization (since May 2015), Newton oversees key organizational functions including budgetary and managerial administration, managing staff and volunteers, fundraising, and preparing financial reports for sponsors and donors. He also directly assesses and advises clients on issues affecting their lives.

Newton is a certified public accountant (finalist, degree equivalent), bringing strong expertise in auditing, accounting, financial reporting & management. He is a focused and goal-oriented professional, with core competencies in Leadership and management, Life Skills Training & Mentorship, Proposal Writing Skills, and Problem-Solving Skills. He is flexible and committed, able to cope with and manage traumatic events and situations. Additionally, he serves as a Board of Trustee for the KumbaCo children foundation, where he contributes to formulating policies and initiating fundraising programs.

Prior to joining Life Skills Oasis, Newton spent eight years at Action for Children in Conflict (August 2007 to April 2015), rising from a volunteer position to Project Manager. During this tenure, he served as a teacher, and volunteered in areas such as Counseling, Field work, and non-formal teaching, helping children discover their talents through creative arts.

Newton is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce. He holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education and has completed professional training in Counseling.
